Creating Shared Value Between Product Stewardship and Sustainability

Course Description:
Product sustainability is the common ground between product stewardship and sustainability, where risk reduction and environmental and social responsibility intent merge to produce greater momentum and progress toward sustainability goals. In this session, we identify tools such as product life cycle risk analysis and discuss examples of how the output of product stewardship links with and contributes to a company's sustainability effort. Shared value focuses company leaders on maximizing the competitive value of solving social problems in new customers and markets. These activities have the potential to strengthen the working linkage between these two departments within a company with the end result of creating shared value.
