Course Description:
This session will address two of the most common and significant questions many SDS authors ask: what do I do when my only source of data is my supplier's SDS? And if the world is so harmonized, why doesn't a single global SDS format exist? This session will help attendees get advice for what to do when they have little confidence in the information provided, and learn tips for spotting dubious source documents and for dealing with unknowns. Also, this session will provide some historical context around harmonization and explain the various countries' adoption of regulatory building blocks, highlighting noteworthy differences in major countries' SDS variations. The presenter will present a real life scenario and walk the audience through the various decision points.
