Course Description:
Polymers have historically been relieved of regulation under most systems. This continues to an extent, but there are categories of polymers that no longer benefit from regulatory relief, and their numbers are growing. Also, risk management measures solely related to exposure potential as opposed to inherent hazard have become increasingly prevalent, making it more difficult for stewards to introduce new technologies. This presentation will provide an overview of global polymer regulations, focusing on recent changes and future challenges.
