Course Description:
This session will define microplastics and highlight the emerging human health and environmental concerns related to them. The speaker will review and list some of the types of products that might generate microplastics during use or disposal, discuss methods available to measure microplastics in the environment, and cover current data on the environmental and human health hazards of microplastics. Finally, this session will examine existing and anticipated regulatory actions on microplastics.
