As a result of mergers and acquisitions, many organizations must work with multiple enterprise resource management (ERP) systems. Yet the regulatory environment requires holistic, organization-wide regulatory assessments for marketability and volume tracking. This session will show attendees how Sherwin Williams used Enablon, an environment, health, and safety software solution, to navigate this challenge to achieve an organization-wide product compliance view covering the following main processes:
- The utilization of a data lake to collect and harmonize the raw ERP systems and data for delivery to Enablon.
- The combination of ERP data with regulatory data (lists, limits, and threshold) to enable regulatory evaluation through bill of material bill of substance decomposition, before applying regulatory data.
- Supplier coverage, a crucial element of product compliance that has constraints and challenges, especially when managing multiple regulations and ERP systems.
- Integrated data and platform that allowed the regulatory community to run compliance reporting and evaluations globally on real-time data. Overall, using Enablon presented the organization with a platform to assess transactions and business activities across the entire ERP landscape and produce accurate corporate compliance reporting and assessment.
