Risk Evaluations for Existing Chemicals Under TSCA Member Meet-Up

This item is expired.

Member Meet-Ups are 30-minute sessions for industry professionals to connect and collaborate on the ideas, skills, and solutions product stewardship teams need to move forward. What to bring: current work challenges, ideas, and a collaborative problem-solving mindset!

For The Month of April:

The focus of this Member Meet Up revolves around risk evaluations for existing chemicals under TSCA. The Risk Evaluation phase constitutes the second stage in EPA's current chemical process under TSCA, occurring after Prioritization and preceding Risk Management. Its primary aim is to ascertain whether a chemical substance poses an unreasonable risk to health or the environment within its conditions of use, including any unreasonable risk to a relevant potentially exposed or susceptible subpopulation. Throughout this gathering, we will address challenges faced through the phases of the risk evaluation process, provide insights on results of public comments and discuss best practices for the submission of inputs into the process. Members can also share experiences with the prioritization process or risk management experiences.
